Frequently asked questions
Member questions
How many complimentary drinks can I receive?
The platform maximum is four qualifying complimentary drinks per member, per eligible visit. Each venue may set a lower limit. Paid drinks must normally be the same item or higher in value than the paired complimentary drinks.
When should I tell the venue I am a BOGO member?
Tell the venue when reserving and again on arrival, before ordering. The venue needs to confirm that the current day, time, branch, items, and visit frequency are eligible.
Can I bring guests or redeem with other members?
Guests are welcome subject to venue capacity and reservation rules. Each redeeming member must be present, validate separately, use a separate bill, and meet the full minimum purchase on that bill unless the venue states otherwise.
Do all venues offer the same benefit?
No. Each venue controls its items, complimentary limit, visit frequency, eligible days and hours, minimum food or bill purchase, exclusions, blackout dates, and temporary pauses. Always check the current listing.
Do I need a reservation?
BOGO itself does not create a reservation unless a booking feature explicitly confirms one. Follow the reservation instructions on the venue page and mention BOGO when booking.
How does identity confirmation work?
Your live profile photograph and active member QR help authorized venue staff confirm that the membership belongs to the person using it. Do not share your account, photograph, or QR code.
What happens if location detection chooses the wrong city?
The city suggestion is only a convenience. You may edit it before submitting the form, or enter the city manually if location permission is declined or unavailable.
What is included in the membership fee?
The fee provides access to eligible BOGO benefits. Food, paid drinks, taxes, service charges, transport, reservations, and other venue purchases are paid separately to the venue.
How do cancellation and refunds work?
Cancellation stops the next monthly renewal and access normally continues to the end of the paid period. Duplicate or incorrect charges can be reviewed under the Refund Policy, without limiting mandatory consumer rights.
What should I do if a redemption goes wrong?
Ask venue staff to check the live eligibility details. Keep the bill and submit a support request with the venue, branch, time, and issue. Do not include passwords or one-time codes.
Can I refer a friend?
Yes, when the referral program is available. The friend must be a genuine new member and meet the published qualification rules. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, and fabricated referrals are not permitted.
Does membership guarantee alcohol service?
No. Venues retain authority over age checks, licensing, safety, responsible service, and refusal of service. A complimentary limit is a maximum benefit, not a consumption target.
Venue partner questions
What are the main advantages for a venue?
BOGO can support discovery by location, name, area, and category; attract groups and new customers; build traffic in quieter periods; encourage additional food and beverage sales; and support repeat visits. The downloadable partnership proposal explains the model in detail.
Does applying immediately create a public listing?
No. The application, contact details, branch information, media, and offer are reviewed first. Only approved content is published.
What parts of the offer can the venue control?
The venue can define eligible items, one-to-four complimentary limits, visit frequency, days, hours, food or bill minimums, exclusions, blackout dates, and temporary pauses within the partner terms.
Can we protect our existing loyalty program?
Yes. A venue may publish reasonable rules preventing overlapping discounts or restricting BOGO benefits for customers in its own membership program, provided those rules are lawful and clearly disclosed before the visit.
How does the primary-branch location form work?
With permission, the form suggests the address, city or regency, district, postal code, latitude, and longitude from the device location. Every field remains editable, so the partner must check it before submission.
How do staff validate a member?
Authorized staff use the live venue workflow to check the member QR, photograph, membership status, current offer rules, and visit eligibility. Staff should never accept a screenshot as a substitute for live validation.
Who receives payment for food and paid drinks?
The member pays the venue directly for the venue bill, including purchased items, taxes, and service charges. Membership payment is separate from the venue transaction.
Can one account manage several branches?
Approved venue administrators can maintain branch-specific details and operational rules. Each branch should have accurate location, schedule, offer, blackout, and staff access information.
What records must the venue keep?
Staff must record redemption status and bill information accurately and retain only the records required by the partner process or law. Fabricated, duplicate, or altered records can trigger investigation.
Who is responsible for licensing and responsible service?
The venue remains responsible for licences, taxes, food safety, age checks, alcohol service, refusal decisions, staff training, and guest safety. BOGO does not override legal or safety obligations.
How is member information protected?
Staff may access member identity and photograph only when needed for an authorized redemption. Information must not be copied, exported, marketed to, or retained for unrelated purposes.
Where can I read the full venue proposal?
Open the For Venues page and download the proposal in English or Indonesian. It covers venue controls, discovery, customer-acquisition advantages, the member journey, redemption, implementation, and example offer structures.
